Wayne Bishop

Marching Band Director

Mr. Bishop has been the Director of Bands at CR North since July 2015. Prior to that, he served as assistant director in the Tunkhannock School District and band director at Bethlehem Catholic High School. Wayne is a graduate of Pocono Mountain West High School and of Temple University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education and Certification in secondary math. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education at University of the Arts. Wayne enjoys working alongside his wife, Jessica, and relaxing with their dogs, Wally and Franklin. An accomplished saxophonist, Wayne performs professionally at weddings and other venues.

Mark J. Filosi

Marching Band and Jazz Band Instructor

Mark Filosi is a 1994 graduate of Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, Pa.  There, he was a 4-year member of the marching band, and a member of the prestigious Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band.  At temple University, he was involved with the Temple University Diamond Band under Dr. Brad Townsand, and the Temple University Jazz Band under Terrell Stafford.  Mr. Filosi then spent 3 years at Kutztown University where he performed with the Kutztown University Marching Unit, and The Kutztown Jazz Ensemble where he studied trumpet under Dr. Kevin Kjos.  Previosly, he was the Marching Band Director at William Tennent High School, and an Assistant Director at Montgomery, Neshaminy, and Gloucester City High Schools.  He also previously served as a brass and visual technician at Pennsbury High School.  He is the current Jazz Band Director for Council Rock North.  Mr. Filosi enjoys traveling abroad with his family, Bowling, and cooking.  He is also a life-long Philadelphia Eagles Fan.  Mr. Filosi looks forward to passing down his knowledge and his passion to the students at Council Rock North.

Larry Trimble

Color Guard Instructor

This is Larry’s fourth year as our Color Guard Instructor. Larry graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1995 where he was a member of the marching band for all four years. He played baritone for 3 years and was drum major his senior year. After graduation, Larry marched his first drum and bugle corps with the Reading Buccaneers horn line before switching sections to the color guard the following year. Since his time with the Buccaneers, he has marched several DCA drum corps. In 2007 and 2008 he was the Color Guard Caption Head for the Fusion Core Drum and Bugle Corps from New Jersey where he returned as a marching member and “aged out” in 2014. Along with marching band and drum corps, Larry has remained active in color guard during the winter seasons, marching The Guard and The Westshoremen Winter Guards as well as teaching at many local high schools in the area. Before coming to North in 2017, he designed and taught North Penn High School and Palisades High School outdoor and indoor color guard programs, winning local and state championships.  

Paige Conner

Color Guard Instructor

Paige has been with the North Color Guard since May of 2019. Paige has over 10 years experience doing Color Guard. After high school Paige went right into teaching. Paige graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Masters in School Counseling and set to graduate June 2024. Paige enjoys listening to true crime podcasts and spending time with her cats, Tigger and Smokey

Ashleigh Fox

Color Guard Instructor

Ashleigh is a Council Rock North alumna who graduated with the class of 2020. Ashleigh was an active member of the color guard from 2016-2020, serving as captain her senior year. In addition to her color guard experience, Ashleigh also has over 13 years of dance experience. She was an assistant mini-guard coach from 2018-2020 while in high school. Ashleigh recently graduated summa cum laude from Bucks County Community College, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in psychology. She plans on continuing her education at Perdue University to earn her bachelor’s degree. In 2023, Ashleigh helped lead the Council Rock North Indoor Color Guard to their gold medal victory in the Weir division at MAIN championships. In her free time, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
